In our restaurants, we offer restaurant management internships to college students pursuing hospitality degrees as well as full-time management opportunities for graduates starting as a Manager in Training (MIT).
Whether an Intern or MIT, you’ll put your hospitality education and previous work experience to great use as you rotate through hourly and management positions in both the front and back of house. Restaurant management internships are available at Red Lobster and Olive Garden restaurants across the country. Internships offer a structured, rotational hands-on experience in all aspects of restaurant operations. Interns will be scheduled 40 hours per week during the 10 week summer program and will be paid $10 an hour. Housing and transportation are the responsibility of the intern. Criteria for consideration includes: 1. Currently enrolled in a hospitality management program pursuing a Bachelor's degree. 2. Must be a rising senior. 3. Must have a passion for restaurant management as a career. Previous restaurant and/or hospitality experience is required, preferably in a casual dining environment. This highly competitive program is geared towards hospitality students with interest in pursuing a future career in Darden restaurant management. Positions are located at our Restaurant Support Center in Orlando, Florida. Internships are a 12-week program beginning in late May/June. Candidates interested in applying must meet the minimum requirements and agree to the terms of the program.
Darden Projects
In addition to the day-to-day work experience, participants will also be involved with projects that may impact our future business. Students will receive valuable feedback about their performance through a mid-point and final evaluation review.
Darden Culture
The Darden Restaurants Internship Program provides students an opportunity to work side-by-side with professionals and executives within one’s chosen field of Marketing or Finance, as well as gaining valuable hands-on experience.
Buddy Program
As part of the internship program, participants will have the chance to meet and interact with key individuals and executives of the company. Interns are also assigned a “Darden Buddy” to help them better understand the company and its culture.
