Our goal has always been to create an environment where our employees can grow – whether that's by learning important life skills that prepare them for future success outside Darden or by providing the training and experience to build a rewarding career with us. We encourage all our employees to dream big, and our promise, in return, is to provide them with the opportunities to grow and develop both personally and professionally. In fact, 99% of our General Managers and Managing Partners come from our restaurant ranks, and 50% of our restaurant managers are promoted from hourly positions.

In addition to career growth and opportunities, we strive to be a place where people are proud to work. It's a place that values diversity, where everyone can be their true self at work.  It's a place that values giving back by making a meaningful impact in the hundreds of communities we serve.  And it's a place that values doing the right thing by finding ways to conserve natural resources.

We know that our culture is working and that we're attracting the right people who embody our core values. A prime example is the success of our Darden Dimes program. This program allows employees to donate as little as 10 cents from each paycheck to help fellow colleagues in need. Funds have been distributed to victims of natural disasters, medical problems and other personal challenges. This program raises more than $1.5 million every year.

Thanks to our people and the culture we have all built together, we're proud to once again be included in FORTUNE Magazine's prestigious list of the "100 Best Companies to Work For" in America. It's because of our employees that we've earned this distinction for the fourth consecutive year. We know this is a high honor and that there's always still work to be done. That's why we’re always striving to elevate our employees' experiences and be deserving of this recognition every day.

To all members of the Darden family: thank you for making our culture what it is, embodying our core values and allowing us to be part of your career journey.
