Olive Garden wants the experience of warmth and caring to extend beyond restaurant walls and into every community served. Olive Garden restaurants throughout the U.S. serve their communities through a variety of local efforts, such as delivering meals in times of need, sponsoring a range of charity and school events as well as company-wide community relations programs including Olive Garden’s Pasta for Pennies benefiting the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society, Darden Harvest and more.
Meet Alex Aragon
Alex is a General Manager at the Olive Garden in Irving, TX who shares a passion for community relations and giving back. Alex believes it’s essential to teach his team members how meaningful it is to get out and help people in need, especially when it comes to the need for food. As a company, Darden focuses giving on helping to end hunger. Last year, Darden restaurants donated 10 million pounds of food to local food banks. Check out the rest of Alex’s story in this week’s Faces of Olive Garden.
