At Darden, it's more than just a job- it's a chance to build long-term, rewarding careers through endless opportunities. Check out how one Olive Garden team member's career is taking him to Southeast Asia.

Ever dream that your career could take you to exciting and exotic locations? For one Olive Garden team member, this dream is becoming a reality. Tremain Thomas, a culinary professional and trainer at the Olive Garden in Panama City Beach, will soon head across the world to help open the first Olive Garden location in Malaysia.

This is just one of the many examples of how at Darden, it’s more than just a job. We’re committed to providing opportunities for our team members to build long-term, rewarding careers. As a Darden Restaurants employee for more than 25 years, Thomas has helped train line cooks at numerous locations across the country, but this will be his first time opening a restaurant outside the U.S.

"It will be a little bit different, but I'm up for the challenge," Thomas told the Panama City News Herald. "I'm psyched out about it... I'm going to show them how we do it the Olive Garden way."

The “Olive Garden way” references the idea that when you work at Olive Garden, you're family. This honors the expression of the spirit at Olive Garden called Hospitaliano! – the passion for 100% guest delight.

Thomas said he is eager to do some exploring and spread the word about the Olive Garden brand.

"We want to take those high standards and take them over there and raise the bar even higher."
