Danielle Kirgan was named Chief Human Resources Officer for Darden Restaurants in January 2015. She leads the development of Darden’s people strategy as well as building organizational capability and employee culture to further enable Darden’s growth. She is also responsible for all aspects of the HR functions within Darden, including the oversight of the HR organizations within each of Darden’s operating companies. In addition, Danielle also oversees Darden’s Communications and Corporate Affairs functions.
Darden owns and operates more than 1,500 Olive Garden, LongHorn Steakhouse, Bahama Breeze, Seasons 52, The Capital Grille, Eddie V’s and Yard House restaurants in North America, employing 150,000 people and serving more than 334 million meals annually.
Previously, Danielle served as Senior Vice President, Human Resources, Specialty Restaurant Group and Total Rewards where she led the HR function for Darden’s Specialty Restaurants as well as the team responsible for the strategy, design, implementation and administration of all total rewards programs and services for Darden’s employees and retirees. Danielle joined Darden in 2010 as Senior Vice President, Total Rewards & HR Shared Services.
Prior to joining Darden, Danielle was the Head of Human Resources with ACI Worldwide. While there, she led a global team responsible for all areas of the HR function. Danielle also served as Vice President, Human Resources for the Consumer Foods Division at ConAgra Foods.
Danielle holds a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from Illinois State University and is a member of the Society for Human Resources Management (SHRM).
