Michael Beacham was named Senior Vice President, Franchising — President, International Operations in August 2016. In this role, Michael is responsible for international operations and franchise strategy, development and execution.
Darden owns and operates more than 1,700 Olive Garden, LongHorn Steakhouse, Cheddar’s Scratch Kitchen, Yard House, The Capital Grille, Seasons 52, Bahama Breeze and Eddie V’s restaurants in North America, employing more than 180,000 people and serving nearly 390 million guests annually.
Michael is a proven strategic leader who has driven significant growth for some of the world’s most recognizable restaurant, hospitality and service brands, including Hard Rock, T.G.I. Friday’s, Chuck E. Cheese’s, Marriott and Costa Coffee. Prior to joining Darden, he served as Senior Vice President and Chief Operating Officer for Hard Rock International. In this role, he oversaw all corporate operations worldwide as well as the Franchise division and was responsible for the growth and expansion of the organization in 69 countries.
Prior to joining Hard Rock in 2011, Michael worked for Rosinter Restaurant Group — the leader in full-service casual and QSR units throughout Eastern and Central Europe — as Senior Vice President and Chief Development Officer. He also served as Senior Vice President and Chief Operating Officer — Franchise Business and International for Chuck E. Cheese’s, and Vice President of International for T.G.I. Friday’s.
Michael graduated from Valley Forge Military Academy and studied computer science at George Washington University.
